Protection Services
IVA-HAGED’s purpose is to improve referral mechanisms, need assesment researches and services which provided by Governmental Organs, United Nations and non-governmental organisations (NGO) for vulnerable groups. The services for domestic violence victims, women empowerment, support to survivors of trafficking/ migrant smuggling, livelihood activities, PSS (psychosocial support) activities, preventing early marriage programmes are provided under a general protection mainframe. Furthermore, IVA-HAGED continue to serve with its partners for research of current situation in immigrant crisis and improvement of general health services, judicial & advocacy issues and social services for refugees.
Legal Consulting Service
One of our main goals is to make refugees access to reaching legal services simpler. In this sense, IVA-HAGED is working on projects by using innovation to improve efficiency and to decrease work load density in legal services. With the improvement of legal services, refugees can easily reach the services which they need legal counseling like, basic legal issues, prevention & protection programs against domestic violence, abuse and early marriage and livelihood & employment problems.
Translation Service
Refugees/asylum-seekers have difficulties in their daily lives; most important of them is the language barrier. This barrier prevents refugees/asylum-seekers from reaching public and other services. As a result, this creates difficulties on especially social integration. At this point, IVA-HAGED aims to overcome these obstacles using technology and innovative methods like, fast learning Turkish courses with tablet computers and other digital assets. These language services include Farsi, Dari, French, Arabic, Somali and English.
Psychosocial Support Service
Psychological effects of physical, sexual and mental abuse, negligence, traumatic accidents and injuries, life threatening diseases and medical treatment processes, peer victimisation and bulliying, gender based violence, losses, war traumas can create difficulties and ongoing psychological issues on an individual’s body, mind thus in his/her daily life. IVA-HAGED team is providing psychosocial support on different levels for beneficiaries in need. Moreover, our team hold training courses for trainers about better prevention and care services.
Counter Trafficking/Migrant smuggling and Prevention Services
The studies on Counter Trafficking/Migrant Smuggling Program are one of the fundamental duties of IVA-HAGED. Our team is designing raising awareness sessions, prevention of abuse trainings for trainers, advisor programs for reaching the professional services and healthy referral mechanisms, academic & field studies for preparing guidance. IVA-HAGED is working with both local and international instutitions and organizations in ongoing projects on these matters.
Vulnerable Groups
With the definition of United Nations, these groups include; vulnerable to human rights abuse; groups that are structurally discriminated against like women, and groups that have difficulties defending themselves and are therefore in need of special protection. The discussed groups are: women and girls, children, refugees, internally displaced individuals, stateless individuals, national minorities, indigenous people, migrant workers, disabled individuals, elderlies, HIV positive individuals and AIDS victims. Clearly this is not an exhaustive list of types of individuals in need of particular protection, as many other groups are not discussed in this part suffer from discrimination and oppression.
