Migrant Smuggling Activities in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia: Examining the Security Aspect, Sociological and Psychological Dimension of Smuggling According to its Projections in Humanitarian Area
Purpose is to monitor the current situation of the humanitarian dimension of migrant / human trafficking. Project is being funded by STGM (Civil Society Development Center). Academical associate is Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University.
Project’s aim is to reveal current situation of migrant/human smuggling from humanitarian point of view to improve services and research efforts. Migrant smuggling problem is growing all over the world and our project will reveal the situation in Turkey. Research contains arrival routes, border crossings, reasons for departure and psychological conditions during the journey. As a result, we will be able to provide information to international cooperation and shed light to future work on humanitarian services and international security studies.
